These are the portraits I did for Fuller Seminary's 60th Anniversary. They are 8x10 and all done in charcoal. You will see the drawings first, then you will see the poster and brochure that was created to display the artwork. Enjoy!
This is a portrait of my brother and his wife from their wedding! They went to Italy on their honeymoon - thus, the Italian word that means "fall in love"
This is a master copy of a painting by Cezanne that hangs in the Norton Simon museum here in Pasadena.
My passion is using art as a way to explore myself. If you are interested in taking art lessons, learning one of the crafts I do, exploring your inner self or having a craft day with friends send me an e-mail or give me a call. I would love to help you on your journey!
I grew up in Dallas, TX, went to Baylor University, married my hubby Christian in 2002, moved to Pasadena, CA in 2003 and had our daughter in July 2008. What the future holds - who knows!!
Other than my family, my true passion is being an artist - I am happiest when I am creating something with my hands. Over the last few years I have taken classes at the world renown Art Center here in Pasadena, taught private art lessons, done a few freelance jobs, been an art therapist at a school for autistic kids and continued to pursue my own art & crafts - everything from painting to drawing to collage to jewelry making to scrapbooking to visual journaling to sewing to home decor items.
I love helping people get in touch with their inner creative being and I love the journey I am on of discovering who I am and how I fit into this crazy world. My ultimate goal: to make a difference, even if just for one person!
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond imagination. It is our light more than our darkness which scares us. We ask ourselves - who are we to be brilliant, beautiful, talented, and fabulous. But honestly, who are you to not be so?"
